WHo is Spotted Dog Cycles?
Joe Riemensnider
Owner/Operator/Guide
Growing up in Minnesota instilled a passion for all things outdoors in, Owner and operator, Joe Riemensnider. But, once he found cycling there was no turning back. After nearly ten years working as a professional cook, Joe left the culinary world behind to pursue a life of cycling. He now operates as a tour leader for Adventure Cycling Assocation, serves as a regional advisor for Bikepacking Roots, and runs the Spotted Dog shop in Missoula.
After receiving a degree in Recreation and Tourism Management from the University of Montana the daunting prospect of a full-time job fell in front of him. Instead, Joe embraced every professional cycling opportunity he could. Every mile in the saddle, new small town or welcoming community member that Joe has encountered while bikepacking and touring is what led him to start Spotted Dog Cycles.
Caitlin Riemensnider
Owner/Operator
Sandpoint, Idaho and Lake Pend O’Reille provided a childhood home for Co-owner Caitlin Riemensnider. This Lady of the Lake would always rather be underwater than anywhere else. A bit of a cycling novice herself, Caitlin’s role with Spotted Dog is generally not on trail. She helps manage all reservations, schedules, and trip details as well as proof reading and editing anything Joe writes.
On certain tours Caitlin provides van and camp support. She loves to travel the Pacific Northwest and the Utah desert. As a sommelier and experienced fine dining manager, Caitlin helps provide a certain level of quality that the rest of the Spotted Dog crew may otherwise overlook.
